So today practically the whole city is shut down. I called in to work this morning after taking Husband to work and decided that I was not going to drive the long trek to work and called in. Work later closed down due to the weather and I am pleased I did not waist my time driving in totally unsafe conditions. I've spent a better part of the day relaxing on the couch drinking diet coke, channel surfing and napping...

On my way home from taking Husband to work, I took the in town route home and went passed a little cemetery here on 3rd Ave. I've known about the place since we first lived here many many years ago. I always keep my camera with me for when ever the photo bug bites me. Normally, I hate winter with a fiery passion, but today with all the snow, it was different--- everything was all serene and quiet. I stopped for about 10 minutes and snapped a few images before the wind got to me and I had to get warm again. There are color, contrast, and gamma adjustments on the photo, but no cropping.

In other news, Husband is working an ass load of hours at his work, frequently with 12 hour days so I am alone some evenings. I have been trying to keep myself entertained for the most part. I ended up getting another fish for my tank. No, the betta did not die. I got a little itty bitty algae eater who will only get about 1 1/2 inches big. Since we are gone a lot, and the light in the tank is on from 12-16 hours a day, algae growth was getting way out of hand for such a little tank. I also bought a scraper as well. Next, I need to get a smaller siphon so I can vacuum out the debris in the gravel. The siphon I have now is for way larger tanks and will not fit.

And on my Health: I am still on my diet. I have cheated here and there a bit, but when I cheat, I really watch my portions. This way I can still have a few naughty foods with out overly feeling guilty about it. I am now a weight I have not been at in about 5 years! I don't feel like I am quite there yet and there is still room for improvement but, I am getting results, and I am feeling much better in general.

And our new fan works wonderfully...
